Why not ventilations?
When a sudden cardiac arrest occur res Why are chest compressions enough why not the ventilation's (mouth to mouth) too? Remember the goal of CPR is to circulate oxygenated blood because the heart is no longer working. That sudden cardiac arrest was just breathing when they collapsed so there is oxygen already in the blood we just want you (the bystander) to call 911 and push hard and fast on the middle of the chest. This circulate that oxygenated blood and will buy time until EMS arrives. If there is an AED close by please use it it is very simple and will tell you what to do step by step. More about that tomorrow. Please visit us for a class at safety911ne.com.
